A "Revolutionary" Test for Celiac Disease

An article published recently on June 10 from Australia’s ABC News website highlights a revolutionary new test that can help diagnose individuals who have celiac disease.

Unlike traditional approaches, which sometimes involve the consumption of gluten for a period of time followed by a gastroscopy, this approach involves a simple blood test.

Results from early studies show that the test is highly accurate in diagnosing celiac disease, without the need for an invasive gastroscopy procedure.

These results are significant, as many individuals with celiac disease are undiagnosed, and this process will make that diagnoses easier.
