GF Shoppers' Grocery Bills: 35% Higher

Take the FREE 30-Day Gluten-Free Challenge Quiz here!
Have you noticed grocery stores raising their prices for certain goods lately? Gluten-free items are no exception!
A recent report from the charity called Coeliac UK notes that the average grocery bill prices for shoppers purchasing gluten-free foods was roughly 35% higher than non-gluten-free shoppers.
Part of this price discrepancy is due to the fact that many gluten-free grains and starches are more costly than mass-produced processed wheat flour, especially when considering the costs of many healthy ancient grains.
When interviewed about the prices of gluten-free foods in supermarkets, some respondents mentioned that the higher prices had a negative impact on their quality of life.
